#BowtieAmbassadors – A Happy Tale From One Miss Haley Terzian

My Pipster Story by Haley Terzian

The Trailhead

Well, my journey as a Pipster began a little late. I guess you can say that I’m a bit of a late bloomer, because I actually missed out on watching the first episodes of The Voice. I first heard of Pip when my friend had me watch his blind audition on YouTube, and I fell in love with his voice and bought “House of the Rising Sun” on iTunes. But when I really became a Pipster was when I was at my friend’s house and we watched the episode of The Voice when Pip sang “When You Were Young.” I knew from that performance that he would be a singer that I would support for a very long time.

The Taping

Living in Los Angeles has been a blessing because it meant that I had the amazing opportunity of actually attending a live taping of The Voice! Unfortunately, it was the night when Pip was eliminated, but it was still the experience of a lifetime! I went a little overboard with my outfit, wearing as many bow-themed articles of clothing as I could find, complete with a special bowtie that I made myself out of purple duck tape! Besides seeing Pip perform just a few feet in front of me, I was blessed with the unlikely experience of meeting Pip’s mom, dad, and sister, Bridget, in the most sophisticated of places: the line for the bathroom! ๐Ÿ™‚ Good times! I got to exchange a few words with them, and Mrs. Arnold even asked me to take a picture with her (probably due to my ridiculous outfit). I was told by Bridget later on over twitter that that that picture is now in a scrapbook that their mother made, which is a HUGE honor!

The Twitterverse

You know, I don’t even really remember how I stumbled upon this group of Pipster Sisters & Misters on twitter, but I’m glad I did! It was right around the time the Pipster Parties began (which are Pipsters getting together via Ustream). In honor of these “Pipster Parties,” I decided to dedicate my twitter account solely to the Pipster fan base and changed my username from @HaleyTerzian to @HaleyPipster. Then I found out that Pip didn’t like sloths… and that’s a story for another day *insert evil laugh here.* ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I love talking to my new friends on Twitter and I have even been able to send my special handmade bowtie necklaces to a few of them, including Pip’s sister, Bridget, for her adorable daughters! I also convinced my best friend, Elizabeth, to make a Pipster twitter account and she loves it too! And I hope it doesn’t get her in trouble, considering that her cousin is really close friends with Pip! ๐Ÿ™‚ (I swear we’re not creepers!)

The Impact

Being a Pipster has impacted me in such a positive way. One reason is because Pip is just such a great role model and his success has encouraged me to chase my own dreams of being a singer/songwriter and to become someone that I can be proud of one day. Another reason is because I love the new friends that I’ve made over Twitter. It’s like having all these pen pals that I can chat with, from as close as just down the 405 freeway to as far as Indonesia! I love supporting Pip, and I love being a part of such an amazing group of people from all over the world!
